EVERBODY NEEDS A DAY OFF - WHETHER HE'S 55 OR 5

Ferris Bueller is a model for all those who take themselves too seriously. Ferris knows the value of a day off, and just how to make the best of any situation.

His plan is fool proof. He'll pretend he's sick (and the whole city will be sure he's at his death's door). He'll get his girlfriend out of school (using the famous "dead relative" excuse). And they'll drive in style to every Chicago hot spot (in his best friend's father's Ferrari, of course).

It's not an ordinary day off, it's...

LEFT:
Jennifer Grey as Jeanie Bueller: "You're letting him stay home? I can't believe this. If I was bleeding out my eyes, you'd make me go to school. It's so unfair."

RIGHT:

RIGHT:
Ferris has the time of his life driving Mr. Frye's 1961 Ferrari 250 GTS California -but Cameron is too nervous to enjoy the ride: "Ferris my father loves this car more than life itself."
LEFT:
Ferris: "Would you want to get married? I mean if I wasn't a fool."
Sloane (Mia Sara) : "Sure."
Ferris: "Today?"

ABOVE AND RIGHT:
Ferris jumps onto a float at the German-American Appreciation Day Parade, captures the crowd's spirit, and spreads his enthusiasm.

ABOVE:
The kids are caught in traffic with Mr. Bueller only a foot away. They quickly hide on the floor of the back seat while Sloane keeps an eye on Tom Bueller.

LEFT:
Ferris looks on while Cameron sits in a near cataonic state: "My best friend has flipped out. Conventional wisdom would suggest a trip to the nearest trauma center. I think this calls for something bold, something wet, something wild."
LEFT:
Mr. Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), the principal peers through the Bueller's windows in hopes of catching Ferris in the act of truancy.
RIGHT:
Ferris careens wildly through backyards to make it home before his parents.
